Established in 1999 as Comfort Rwanda to support genocide survivors, Comfort International works in Central Africa (Rwanda, DR Congo, Burundi, Uganda) with a range of vulnerable groups including street children, rape survivors, ex-child soldiers, pygmies and displaced people, as well as genocide survivors. We work with indigenous partners, take groups regularly to visit partners and projects, and are a Christian charity with church leadership training included in our work. Our key values are partnership, sustainability, integrity and accountability, and redemption from poverty.
