This autumn marks the mid-point of implementing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) globally. In theory, by 2030 we would have a global society all following this blueprint for peace and prosperity for people and the planet, now and into the future. This session will consider how Scottish civil society is playing our part in achieving the SDGs, and what we could all do to make Scotland a more sustainable nation.

In Scotland, the National Performance Framework is our way of embedding the SDG framework into decision-making. The NPF Outcomes are under review but, in the meantime, how can we address the implementation gap? What additional resources might encourage us to think about not just the here and now, but future generations? And not just here in Scotland, but those elsewhere in the world? We’ll hear from those in the international development sector who are making impacts globally, and others closer to home who are successfully embedding the NPF and SDGs in their decision making.

The session aims to inspire Scottish civil society to play our part in delivering the Sustainable Development Goals and supporting peace and prosperity.

We are committed to creating a safe and inclusive environment for all our events. Please read our safe space policy before attending any of our activities. Thank you for your cooperation and respect.
