SIDA are organising a roundtable for members with Lord Jeremy Purvis, the Liberal Democrat Lords Spokesperson for International Development.
Jeremy was formerly an MP for the old constituency of Tweeddale, Ettrick and Lauderdale and lives in the Borders. In a recent interview with the Centre for Global Development, he said that under the Liberal Democrats, UK development policy would see an immediate return to 0.7% of GNI as Official Development Assistance, a reversal of the aid cuts, and an independent development department.
This meeting is part of our ongoing engagement with UK parliamentarians and is an opportunity for members to raise any questions or issues of concern.
