What the course covered:
- Reviewing your organisation’s strategy for sustainability,
- Identifying how institutional donor funding contributes to your broader portfolio of income streams,
- Understanding the implications of the trends and characteristics of the institutional donor environment for your organisation,
- Knowing where to find tools and resources to support your proposals to institutional donors.
Over a two-week period we completed an introductory exercise, participated in a live webinar, completed a post-webinar challenge and curated a discussion forum. The course gave small civil society organisations an opportunity to hear from peers who face similar challenges in applying for institutional funds and most importantly, allowed us to swap solutions and share learning across the sector.
