Job description:
SCIAF are currently looking to appoint a new Committee Member for their Integral Human Development Committee. This Committee plays a crucial role at SCIAF by monitoring and guiding their international development and emergency work. The ideal candidate will have:
- Extensive experience in international development and/or humanitarian response.
- Relevant experience in one or more of SCIAF’s key thematic focuses and cross-cutting issues (sustainable livelihoods, peace building, climate justice, locally led development, southern-based advocacy, gender equality, safeguarding
- Understanding of the catholic church and its role in emergency response and locally led development (including an understanding of Catholic Social Teaching and Integral Human Development).
- An understanding of SCIAF’s partnership principles in practice, and experience of working with/for local organisations (including, but not limited to, direct experience in one of SCIAF’s priority countries).
