Christian Aid launches a new impact investment fund

The climate crisis demands urgency. Resilience demands patience. The Christian Aid Resilient Futures Fund exists to hold both.

Climate change is already reshaping economies, livelihoods and the viability of entire communities. Those least responsible continue to bear the greatest burden, often without access to the capital needed to adapt.

This month, Christian Aid publicly launched their new fund, The Christian Aid Resilient Futures Fund. The Fund is an impact-first investment vehicle designed to address this lack of capital. They deploy patient, flexible capital into locally led enterprises across the Global South, with a primary focus on Africa, where climate vulnerability and financial exclusion intersect most sharply.

They invest in businesses that strengthen climate resilience, create inclusive employment and support more durable local economies. Alongside capital, they provide technical support and partnerships to help enterprises move from early growth to long-term sustainability.

Structured as a mission-driven fund, returns are reinvested to support new investments, enabling capital to be recycled over time. In doing so, they seek to build a portfolio that delivers both lasting impact and financial discipline, demonstrating that climate resilience can be financed in ways that are both effective and enduring.
