The OCEAN Grants Programme – Community Grants Pathway

Type of project: Focuses on small, locally led initiatives working on marine conservation, poverty reduction, and climate adaptation/mitigation.
Location: ODA-eligible countries (typically low and middle-income countries as defined by the OECD).
Eligibility: Projects led by small to medium, local, in-country organizations with an annual income of less than £1 million. Applications are welcome from CSOs, NGOs, private sector organizations, businesses, and business associations. Government agencies and intergovernmental organizations may partner with local nonprofits but cannot receive funding directly.
Grant size: Up to £250,000.
