Type of Project: Within their “overseas” focus area, trustees have a keen interest in social, ecological and agriculture initiatives and prefer to support small, local area initiatives, as opposed to large organisations working in multiple locations. Applications for specific projects and development are preferred.
Location: Africa specifically: Cote d’Ivoire, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique, Nigeria, Rwanda, São Tomé and Príncipe, Sierra Leone, Somalia, South Africa, South Sudan, Tanzania, Togo, Uganda, Zambia, Zimbabwe; the Indian subcontinent, specifically: Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
Eligibility: You must be a UK Registered Charity to apply for funding. Charities with an income of under £500k are preferred and those with an income of over £1m per annum will not be considered. Applications by post or email are no longer accepted.
Grant size: £500 and £2,000. Trustees are unlikely to fund general running costs/Revenue funding.
