Type of project: To apply to the SJP Foundation, a pre-existing connection or affiliation with a member of the SJP community (e.g. employee, Partner, Adviser) is required. The Foundation funds small and medium size charities across the UK and overseas focussed on empowering people and communities by breaking barriers and unlocking potential. Funded programmes focus on five core themes: Disadvantaged Children and Young People; Supporting Mental Health; Living Well with Cancer; Care and Support at End of Life; Financial Wellbeing. Pre-application webinar at 17.03 at 2.00-3.00pm. Before applying you must have an introduction to the Charitable Foundation by a member of the St. James’s Place community or have been funded by the SJP Charitable Foundation in the last 3 years. You must also be a UK registered charity and able to demonstrate lasting, evidence based impact.
Location: UK & overseas
Eligibility: You have an SJP Introducer, they know your organization, they understand your project, they agree to support your application. Beyond this, international charities must: align with core funding themes; have UK charity income under £1 million; partner with a locally led, in-country organisation; meet at least one of the SDGs.
Grant size: Small Grants up to £20,000 (single payment or split over a 2-year grant) for charities with an income under £1 million. Note that c. 85% of funding goes to UK charities and15% to charities overseas and that no UK core costs will be funded over charities working internationally.
