Type of project: Norad supports efforts to improve the conditions for sustainable private sector development and provide economic opportunities of quality to people in developing countries at scale. This call for proposal is aimed at improving the enabling environment for enterprise growth, increase investments in developing countries, and address constraints within markets. The ultimate objectives of the grant scheme are to:
increase job creation in developing countries; increase exports of goods and services from poor countries; The target group(s) for the grant scheme is (are):local business and industry in developing countries.
Location: Sub-Saharan Africa with particular priority given to Ethiopia, Ghana, Mozambique, Malawi, Tanzania, and Uganda.
Eligibility: Potential grant recipients under this scheme are: the authorities and private sector actors in developing countries that play a key role in the framework conditions for the business sector, such as foundations, trade and industry organizations, chambers of commerce, public institutions and other actors whose activities or projects are vital to achieving the objectives of the grant scheme; Norwegian and international businesses and organizations whose activities or projects are vital to achieving the objectives of the grant scheme.
