Type of project: The Matrix Causes Fund supports projects that enhance access to justice, promote equality of opportunity, or advance sustainable environmental initiatives. Applications are particularly encouraged from organisations that support vulnerable individuals, including prisoners, asylum seekers, people with mental health difficulties, children with disabilities, and women in refuge.
Location: UK and overseas
Eligibility: The Matrix Causes Fund may consider applications from organisations that are not registered as a charity in the UK. The organisation must be established for charitable purposes and be recognised by HMRC as an exempt charity.
Grant amount: One-off grants of up to £5,000, or up to £3,000 per year for three years. The fund does not provide support for an organisation’s general or core expenditure.
