Type of project: Gower Street has pivoted the majority of its funds to addressing the climate crisis and in recognition of the urgency of the situation, decided to disperse all their funds before 2030. It does not invite unsolicited applications. However, if you feel that the work you do closely aligns with the areas the trust funds, you can submit a one-pager outlining what you do and why Gower Street should fund you. The team will get in touch if they believe your work could be a potential for Gower Street funding.
Location: The UK and Ghana.
Eligibility: Gower Street’s potential partners must closely align with their strategy, complement the work of their current partners, and seek funding that is not available from other sources. The trust focuses their funding on small organisations, supporting them to scope and validate their ideas, enabling them to approach larger funders to help them further scale
Grant size: Example ranges from 360 Giving suggest £5,000 – £100,000. Gower Street will award unsuccessful applicants invited to apply with a one-off donation of £500 as compensation for the time spent on the application process.
