Type of Project: Projects that strengthen the value chains of nutritious, climate-resilient crops that are well adapted to challenging environments but remain underutilised. Projects aim to improve production, processing and consumer awareness of these crops and should address agricultural practices; strengthening post-harvest and processing capacities; improving market access and value chain efficiency; and increasing consumer awareness.
Location: Kenya, Nigeria, Zambia, Tanzania, Uganda and Colombia
Eligibility: Applicants must demonstrate that their annual average revenue turnover from 2023 to 2025 exceeds their proposed project budget
Grant size: $100,000 to $200,000 USD per project
