Blue Action Fund

Type of Project: Project which supports the establishment or improved management of protected areas and mangrove ecosystems, combined with the protection, restoration, and sustainable use of mangroves for biodiversity, climate mitigation/adaptation, and livelihoods
Location: Indonesia, the Philippines, Vietnam, or India
Eligibility: Charitable NGOs or NGO consortia with proven mangrove conservation/restoration and blue carbon experience.
Grant size: Grants of €2–4 million per project, from a total envelope of up to €17 million. Projects must be completable within 5 years.
