Type of Project: The Trust funds charities that are looking to run locally led projects in Africa and the Indian sub-continent. We will only consider making grants to a those charities with objectives that enable the following: The prevention or the relief of poverty; The provision of services to improve the educational attainment and opportunities for those who are most disadvantaged; The provision of health services; To enable those who are vulnerable because of their youth, old age, ill health, disability or financial hardship to take greater control over their lives; The support of the communities of those who are most disadvantaged.
Location: Africa and the Indian sub-continent
Eligibility: UK registered charities with an income of between £50,000 and £1.5m may apply.
Grant size: £5,000 – £15,000 for single year projects.
Deadline: 3 August. We are not currently accepting any new applications until 1st June so please do not apply before this date.
