Type of Project: The Trust funds UK registered charities that are looking to run locally led projects in Africa and the Indian sub-continent. We will only consider making grants to a those charities with objectives that enable the following: The prevention or the relief of poverty, The provision of services to improve the educational attainment and opportunities for those who are most disadvantaged, The provision of health services, To enable those who are vulnerable because of their youth, old age, ill health, disability or financial hardship to take greater control over their lives, The support of the communities of those who are most disadvantaged.
Location: Africa and the Indian sub-continent
Eligibility: UK registered charities with an income of between £50,000 and £1m may apply
Grant size: Up to £15,000 for short term projects and up to £45,000 for multiyear projects. Due to the number of applications we receive, we are unlikely to award the maximum amount. If you’d like to apply for a multi-year grant, please contact us in the first instance with an outline of your project.
