Join Send A Cow‘s lunchtime learning event on Wednesday 28 April from 1pm to 2pm GMT – Disability Inclusive Livelihoods.
At this event, Send A Cow will be sharing the learning from their ‘People Led Livelihoods’ Project in Northern Uganda supported by the National Lottery Community Fund’s East Africa Disability Fund.
Send a Cow has been working with the National Union for Women with Disabilities of Uganda (NUWODU) to deliver a 3-year project with disabled and non-disabled farmers in Amuru District, Northern Uganda to reduce stigma around disability and promote inclusion, a project which has helped raise awareness of disability rights and increased skills and knowledge of sustainable agriculture and business development.
This presentation and panel discussion will explore how Send a Cow is learning how to mainstream disability in its projects, and is on the way to becoming a disability confident employer.
Hear from Julius Adubango, Project Manager, together with Amanda Crookes, Send a Cow’s Gender and Social Inclusion Coordinator, and Kinny Chinangwa from the West of England Centre for Inclusive Living (WECIL).
There will be a video presentation about the project at the start and a Q&A session at the end.
