Link Education | Climate Week NYC events

21—24 September 2026
New York City

Link Education International are attending Climate Week NYC alongside fellow 2026 Planetary Health Spotlight winners, sharing how education can strengthen education systems for planetary health. They have two sessions open to all who are attending Climate Week in New York City.

Session 1:

Locally Built, Designed to Scale: Putting the Buzzwords to Work – “Locally led.” “Inclusive.” “Scalable.” “Sustainable.”

These ideas appear everywhere in global development strategies, but putting them into practice inside education systems is considerably harder. This session will explore what it takes to move those ambitions from buzzwords to working principles.

Drawing on experience across Rwanda, Ghana, Malawi, and other low-resource settings, Link Education International, Link Community Development Malawi, Chance for Childhood and AfriKids will share a practical framework built around four essential Ls: Local, Leave no-one, Leverage, and Links. Link will draw on their work on inclusive education funded by The Scottish Government and on scaling education innovations funded by GPE KIX and IDRC.

Date and time: 21 September, 2:30-4pm

Place: 134 West 29th Street (2nd Floor)
