COP29 (the 2024 United Nations Climate Change Conference) is taking place in Baku, Azerbaijan. This year’s COP hopes to secure a new commitment on climate finance for the least developed countries; and to encourage countries to commit to more ambitious climate reduction targets and develop more specific adaptation plans.
We’ll hear directly from INGOs and activists in attendance and will discuss both the climate negotiations, and the barriers to access for civil society and marginalised groups.
The meeting will also receive a short update on CPG’s report into transparency of Scottish Government international development spending.
The meeting will include the CPG’s AGM.
