Join Scotland Malawi Partnership online to hear from Malawian experts on how legal empowerment can be a catalyst for gender equality and social and environmental justice in Malawi and about transformative work being undertaken in Malawi in Inclusive Education.

We shall hear from Human rights lawyer Sarai Chisala-Tempelhoff – Founder & Executive Director of the Gender and Justice Unit (GJU). The GJU works through strategic litigation, legal research, advocacy, and partnerships to promote access to justice in Malawi. Trained as a lawyer, Sarai has specialised in human rights and democratisation in Africa as well as women’s and gender studies.

Link Education’s Executive Director – Malawi, Harold Kuombola will offer insights into Link’s impactful projects as well as sharing challenges and opportunities. Harold has over 15 years’ experience working in education, gender, young women’s empowerment and community development, with hands-on technical experience in both project management and monitoring, evaluation and learning sectors.
